The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) has announced a list of books which appeal to fans of Cecily von Ziegesar's Gossip Girls series.
Fans of Cecily von Ziegesar's popular Gossip Girls series who have read through the series and are hungry for more have nothing to fear. YASLA announced a list of books which appeal to Gossip Girls fans just in time for summer reading season. Rules of the Road by Joan Bauer (Speak, 2005) Sixteen year old Jenna Boller has it all; her driver's license and a job she loves at her favorite shoe store. Even better, she has been assigned the task of driving Mrs Madeline Gladstone, the crusty president of the store chain, from Chicago to Dallas for an important business meeting. On the road, Jenna gets a chance to demonstrate her passion for shoe salesmanship as well as learn about big business, difficult people, and smarmy business dealings. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares (Dell Books, 2005) A pair of thrift store jeans with seemingly magical qualities (they fit four best friends perfectly, even though the girls are different sizes and shapes) create a bond between the friends as they spend their first summer apart.
