Since October 2005 when Stephanie Meyer introduces the vampire romance Twilight vampire books have been flying onto (and off of) bookstore shelves.

For fans who've been swept up in the vampire lit craze, there are more than enough books out there to satisfy even an insatiable thirst for more.

Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith (Candlewick, 2008)

Seventeen year old Quincie Morris lost her parents and gained a restaurant. She and her Uncle Davidson have renamed the Italian restaurant Sanguini's and remodeled it with a vampire theme which they believe will serve the fringe population of vampires in their seemingly tolerant Texas town. But then the chef is mauled in the kitchen and the murder suspect is a werewolf. Quincie's best friend and love interest Kieren, a werewolf, is a prime suspect. If this isn't bad enough the new chef shows up with spooky red eyes and a menu featuring baby squirrels in honey cream sauce...

The Reformed Vampire Support Group by Catherine Jinx (Harcourt, 2009)

For the reader who has tired of those sexy and mysterious vampire cliches, Jinx's droll vampire send-up is a welcome new take on the vampire experience. Far from sultry, these bloodsuckers suffer from a form of vampirism that mirrors an addiction or at least a communicable disease, and this bunch of hand-wringing whiners form 15 year old Nina's support group. She can't stand the group members, but when one of them ends up staked, Nina finds they must all work together to uncover the slayer before he kills again.

Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey (Harcourt, 2009)

What do you get when you cross The Princess Diaries with Twilight? Ask high-school senior Jessica Packwood. Born in Romania as Antanasia Dragomir to royal vampire parents, she was adopted as an infant by yoga-practicing vegans. When handsome foreign exchange student Lucius Vladescu comes to stay, Jessica learns that she is betrothed to him in order to seal a pact which will unite two vampire clans and prevent war. What's a “regular” teen to do?

Persistence of Memory by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (Delacorte, 2008)

Schizophrenic 16-year-old Erin has a dark secret: her violent alter ego Shevaun. Although diagnosed as mental illness, Shevaun is anything but. He's a 500 year old vampire who is mysteriously linked to Erin and is determined to sever the link. Erin's perspective, skewed by mental illness, offers a fresh look at the vampire legend as Atwater-Rhodes delivers fascinating take on the link between mental illness and the supernatural.

Night World seriesby L.J. Smith (Simon Pulse, 2008)

In Secret Vampire, Poppy's only hope to beat her terminal cancer is to become immortal and the only person who can help her is James, her friend and secret love interest. James is a vampire in the Night World, and to save Poppy he must risk everything and go against the unbreakable laws of his mysterious world. In Daughters of Darkness three fugitives from Night World leave their home to live among humans. In Spellbinder two witch cousins fight over one love interest in a classic black-versus-white magic.

Evernight by Claudia Gray (Harper Ten, 2009)

Well-bred prep school student Bianca is dreading her first day at Evernight Academy, a creepy Gothic boarding school where everyone has secrets. It seems that everyone is too perfect, except the handsome Lucas who is determined, like Bianca, not to be an Evernight type. Will their attraction be jeopardized by the dark secrets which threaten to tear them apart?
