Vampire and werewolf characters are not a new concept. In fact, they've dominated adult supernatural romance books for ages.
But ever since October of 2005, when Stephenie Meyer put her miraculous dream to paper and published Twilight, the concept has flourished in the teen book market. Vampire and werewolf books are flying onto and off of the shelves, as so many aspiring authors are taking advantage of this phenomenal trend to get their foot in the door. It’s been nearly a year since Breaking Dawn—the final book in the Twilight saga—was released, and fans are still hankering for more. So here’s a list of teenage vampire and werewolf titled published between December 2008 and June 2009:
